“Playbill,” a new old demo, available now for free on Bandcamp.

The Smyrk - Free Discography Available until 1/1/12
For a limited time, The Smyrk is offering their discography for FREE on bandcamp. That’s right, every track released from Monsters on Maple Street to the mini-release 3ongs is now available for FREE! If you haven’t heard The Smyrk before, get ready to have your mind blown. Taking elements of Funk, Rock, and Soul, The Smyrk brings an eclectic sound that is unrivaled. I have known Chris Barone (drummer), Ari Sadowitz (Guitarist/Bassist), and Doron Flake (Singer) since college and they have never ceased to impress me with the talent they bring to the stage. The Smyrk is one of those bands that are so talented and so unique that they have been passed over by record labels because they don’t “fit” into one genre. However, this is one of their strongest attributes, as they appeal to a diverse audience. Using inspiration from life experience to comic books, The Smyrk’s music is filled with passion and energy that can be felt in every note.
After taking a hiatus from the music scene, The Smyrk has returned invigorated and fans couldn’t be happier. Make sure to check out the upcoming tour dates in CT, NY, & NJ. If you have a chance to catch a live show, make the effort, it’s well worth it.
Monsters on Maple StreetFavorite Tracks: Monsters on Maple Street, That Ain’t Lake Minnetonka, & Cope Aesthetic
New FictionFavorite Tracks: Dial V for Venom, Conflict Addiction, & My Weakness
2008 Exclusive & 3ongsFavorite Tracks: The Ballad of Fletcher Reede, The End of Jason Todd, & Single Serving-Friend
**After writing this, the discography stopped being available for free due to bandcamp’s site restrictions. The Smyrk has changed it to a “name your own price” setting. You can get each album for just $1. Trust me, as someone who has bought all of their albums, this is a worthy investment.**
